A 68.ª edição dos Emmy, os prémios de televisão dos Estados Unidos, premiou no domingo, pelo segundo ano consecutivo, a “Guerra dos Tronos” como melhor série dramática e “Veep” como melhor série cómica.

O épico da HBO, baseado nos livros de George R. R. Martin, venceu 12 dos galardões atribuídos pela Academia Internacional das Artes e Ciências da Televisão dos Estados Unidos, igualando o recorde atingido pela série, a mais premiada numa só edição, em 2015.

Por seu lado, “Veep” renovou o ‘reinado’ na comédia, com o seu segundo Emmy consecutivo, deixando para trás séries como “Black-ish", "Master of None", "Modern Family", "Silicon Valley", "Transparent" e "Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt".
