A Netflix liderou as nomeações para a televisão e para o cinema, incluindo o drama "Mank", com seis nomeações. "The Trial of the Chicago 7" seguiu com cinco indicações.
Nas categorias de televisão, o drama real da Netflix, "The Crown", obteve seis indicações, seguido pela comédia "Schitt's Creek", com cinco.
A cerimónia dos Globo de Ouro acontecerá - virtualmente ou de outra forma - no domingo, 28 de fevereiro com Tina Fey e Amy Poehler como anfitriãs do evento pela quarta vez.
O pioneiro da TV, Norman Lear, receberá o Prémio Carol Burnett e a atriz e ativista Jane Fonda receberá o Prémio Cecil B. deMille pelas suas contribuições para a indústria.
