O Prémio Nobel da Economia foi atribuído aos economistas norte-americanos Paul Milgrom e Robert Wilson.
O prémio foi atribuído à dupla "por avanços na teoria dos leilões e pela criação de formatos alternativos nos leilões", avança o Comité responsável pelo galardão Sveriges Riksbank em memória de Alfred Nobel.
