O filme “Hidden Figures” venceu hoje na categoria principal dos prémios do Sindicato de Atores dos Estados Unidos, numa cerimónia em Los Angeles dominada por críticas à política de imigração do Presidente Donald Trump.
As atrizes Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer e Janelle Monae levaram para casa o prémio de "desempenho excecional de elenco num filme" atribuído pelo Sindicato de Atores (Screen Actors Guild Awards) – o equivalente a um Óscar de melhor filme.
"Hidden Figures" [Elementos Secretos], o filme de Theodore Melfi, que conta a história de mulheres matemáticas afro-americanas cujos cálculos ajudaram a NASA a colocar os primeiros homens no espaço, foi um vencedor surpresa. Na mesma categoria estavam nomeados filmes como "Moonlight" e "Manchester by the Sea".
