A 28ª edição dos "MTV Movie & TV Awards 2019" aconteceu na Califórnia com Zachary Levi, protagonista da comédia "Shazam!", como anfitrião.
"Avengers: Endgame" foi o grande vencedor da noite, tendo arrecadado três dos quatro prémios para os quais estava nomeado.
Os filmes "A Star is Born" e "To All The Boys I've loved Before", com dois prémios cada também se destacaram e, na televisão, a grande vencedora foi a série "Game Of Thrones", na categoria de Best Show
Dwayne Johnson, The Rock, foi homenageado com o Generation Award, que distingue os atores que mais contribuem para enriquecer a indústria do cinema e da televisão.
